These buildings of Virginia granite form part of
a fifty-five acre campus. The Institution was
chartered in 1896. It offers Liberal Arts and
Theological courses to 500 Negro college stu-
dents each year. It is a school rated class A by
the Southern Association of Colleges and Sec-
ondary Schools.
