WENTWORTH-GARDNER HOUSE, Mechanic

Mark Hunking Wentworth for her son Thomas.
It is noted for its fine doorway and interesting
interior wood carving. It
It is owned by the
Metropolitan Museum of Fine Arts. In the kitchen
is a huge fireplace equipped with an automatic device
for roasting meats. A magnificent linden tree, more
than two hundred years old, stands beside the house.
