TANNEHILL MILL CREEK, which provided the power to run
the historic Tannehill Ironworks in Civil War times, now
serves as a popular swimming hole for thousands of tourists
who visit Tannehill Historical Park near Bessemer, Alabama
each year. Spring fed, Mill Creek remains a constant 58 de-
grees throughout the summer.
