The B-36 intercontinental bomber was a major US deterrent to aggression in late 1940 and 1950. It was never sued in combat, indicative of its value in keeping the peace. B-36J displayed at AF Museum, W-PAFB, Ohio, was last B-36 to fly when it was delivered to Wright Field in April 1959.
