Reminiscent of the golden age of railroading, the 1882
East Strasburg passenger station is used annually by
thousands of tourists who board the oldest operating
standard-gauge passenger train in the United States for
the famous Trip to Paradise." Moved some twenty
miles in 1960 to the present location, it serves also as
headquarters for the Strasburg Railroad's display of
ancient engines and cars open to the public free of
charge.
