The Space Needle in the Seattle Center looks
protected by two American La France Fire Trucks
of the Seattle Fire Department. The ladders seem
to climb above the top of the 600 ft. Needle but
they actually reach "only" a height of 100 ft.
One of the buildings near the Space Needle,
originally part of the Seattle World's Fair in
1962, now houses the Washington State Fire
Service Historical Museum.
