St. Aloysius Parish was established in 1856 and
the present Church was dedicated on September 8th,
1865. Father Edward Froehlich was the first Pastor.
The diocesan shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes con-
structed under the church edifice by Father Joseph
Blenke was dedicated in 1889. The stained glass
windows of religious and patriotic design of Munich
artists are of the very largest and finest in this
country. St. Aloysius Church is a beautiful edifice
erected "for the Honor and Glory of God".
