OLDER THAN DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
Picuris Pueblo's third mission church, built in
early 1770's, still rings bell given by King Philip V
of Spain in 1710. First Picur is church, built in 1631,
was burned by Indians in 1680 Rebellion, before
they besieged Santa Fe, New Mexico..
