August 1, 1956, Mary and George Potivka offered to the Adams County Memorial Assoc. an eight acre site along the country trunk J. in the village of Friendship, together with a modern house and a large garage on the site. This property was accepted. 1957 Friendship Centennial was a successful $11,000 fund. August 7th, 1958, started construction - opening dedication July 26, 1959. First Dr. Arthur Weihe. Women's Hospital Auxiliary quite active, also the reception - and thanks to all the volunteers.
