Canoeing Down The River

| Early Settlers and traders once used canoes because of the lack of roads. Now with the advent of light factory made canoes, it has become one of Michigan's most popular Sports. Thousands of people from small children to oldsters now take to the water in gay colored outfits and canoes to camp, fish and just sight see. This photo taken at the Forest Camp Ground on Au Sable River is typical of hundreds of streams. |
