No. 80. CHURCH HILL VIADUCT
MARSHALL STREET 14TH TO 21ST,
RICHMOND, VA.
The Richmond & Henrico Ry. Co., by the erection of
this splendid toll-bridge has united by a level roadway the
populus Eastern section of the city, (known as "Church
Hill") with its Central or business section. The bridge, in
its skillful construction, and excellent materials, is in accord
with the most modern engineering ideas. It has a total
length of 2800 feet, and at its highest point, is 95 feet above
the 17 railroad tracks which it spans. This view shows
many of the most important and historic buildings in the city,
including Monumental and St. Paul's Churches, the City
Hall, the Capitol Building, Main Street Depot, etc.
