STAR
THE STAR RESTAURANT, which has the reputation of always
pleasing with its good old Virginia Ham and its generous feeding,
is located in the beautiful little town of Monterey. This town,
serving as the County seat of Highland, rises 3300 feet above sea
level and is situated in the heart of the hills on the Jefferson
Highway, formerly the historic Staunton-Parkersburg Turnpike.
This highway was a thoroughfare for the armies of the Blue and
Gray during the trying days of the sixties. Come to see us! We
promise you a pleasant drive and a good refreshing "Star" meal.
