This is one of the most beautiful and pic-
turesque canyons in the United States. The name
Ten Sleep is of Indian origin; it was so called by
the red men of early days because, when there
was much friendliness between the Shoshones and
Crows, this place was ten sleeps between reserva-
tions-their way of reckoning time.
Ten Sleep Inn also the Meadow Lake Dude
Ranch, near top of Big Horn Mountains, 22 miles
from Ten Sleep and 48 miles west of Buffalo, has
many furnished cabins, excellent home cooked meals,
either place you get excellent service. Many horses
for pack, hunting and fishing trips.
