The First Christian Church, McAlester,
Oklahoma, was organized in November 1893
in a log cabin on the present location, and
is now housed in its third building which
was erected in 1925.
The Ritual for the Order of the Rainbow for
Girls was written in this church by W. Mark
Sexson, supreme recorder and founder of this
organization for girls.
Mr. Sexson was for 12 years pastor of this
church.
