ON AIR FORCE ACADEMY
Long Construction Company used 37,000
square feet of Steel-Ply forms on the Air
Force Academy. The low bid was based
on the rapid reuse of the forms. The forming
involved some 10,000 lineal feet of retain-
ing wall containing 24,000 cubic yards of
concrete. The walls were battered and
varied in height up to 32'. Approximately
600,000 square feet of forming went into
the total job.
