This monument in the rear was erected in July, 1935, in
commemoration of the deliverance of the gold plates
to the boy prophet, Joseph Smith. From these plates
the book of Mormon was translated. The monument is
38 feet high. The figure represents Moroni ancients
prophet. This card also shows the Bureau of Information
erected in stone of many colors and trimmed prith
Malayan characters.
