America's finest combined land and seaplane base. Erected at a cost of over $4,500,000, is fully equipped and has the ATA rating of the Department of Commerce. It is located on an artificial peninsula on Lake Pontchartrain, about six miles northeast of New Orleans. Its four asphalt runways each extend over 3,000 feet in length.
