The city of childhood and school that trains for life is owned and maintained by the Loyal Order of Moose at Mooseheart, Illinois, forty miles due west of Chicago on the Lincoln Highway. Here dependent children of deceased members of the Fraternity, gathered from all sections of the United States and Canada, are being trained for life in a model little city of homes, schools, churches, shops, stores, offices, playgrounds, parks, etc. The Child City covers in all over two square miles in area and comprises 180 buildings.
