| On the plaza on which the hotel faces, as well as the historical Mission, founded in 1797, and through which El Camino Real runs, Fremont raised the Stars and Stripes in 1846. Its owner, Tony Taix Jr., believes in fostering the glory of the past of San Juan, the scene of more historic events than any other California town. A relic of the distant past where men and women played billiards on horseback and the trees bore human fruit. |
