JUAREZ MONUMENT
This beautiful tribute of a nation to one of
its departed heroes and patriots, Benito Juarez,
was erected through popular subscriptions,
amounting to 200,000 pesos, in the city which
bears his name Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. The
base and column are of beautiful pink granite
and the four statues at the base are of Italian
Carrara marble, while the main figure, which
surmounts the shaft, is of bronze.
