Our neighbouring SENECA INDIANS visiting the
Klondike Gift Store, 8 miles east of Kinzua Lake,
Rt. 59. To make the lake possible, in Pennsylvania,
644 acres of Cornplanter Indian land was taken
and in New York State, 10,000 acres were taken re-
quiring 120 Indian families to be relocated. When
full, Kinzua Dam will have a depth, at the dam,
of 165 feet and will flood 34.7 miles of river,
creating a lake of 20,700 acres.
