THE NEWS TOWER, ROCKFORD, ILLINOIS, located
on the east bank of the Rock River at the State
Street Bridge, is a significant landmark in the city
of Rockford. Erected in the early 1930's, it houses
Rockford's daily newspapers, The Rockford Morning
Star and Rockford Register-Republic.
