THE "VOCODER" A most important feature of Bell
Telephone's "Hall of Communications" is this device,
called a "Vocoder," which can be used to teach speech
to deaf persons. It does tricks, too. Visitors are invited
to participate in frequent demonstrations which turn
their voices inside-out and upside-down.
