Massasoit's Profile Rock is a natural formation lo-
cated a few feet off the main highway in the Free-
town State Forest near Assonet, Mass. Because the
Wampanoags believed it to be the
mysterious
image of their beloved Sachem, it became within
the years a secret and spiritual gathering place of
the Tribes.
