RUINS OF WINDSOR ... Located on State
Highway 552, 101/2 miles northwest of Lor-
man, Mississippi and 10 miles west of Port
Gibson, Mississippi. These 22 stately col-
umns are a silent reminder of the grandeur
of a bygone era. Built in 1860, Windsor was con-
sidered one of the most palatial homes of its time.
Burned in 1890. These columns were pictured in the
movie, "Raintree Country."
