EUREKA, CALIF.
Built from the hollowed-out log and stump in
1902 of a giant Redwood tree-a monument to
lumbering, Eureka's chief industry. Recently re-
modeled inside. It now houses the World Famous
Cheese House, featuring cheeses from all cor-
ners of the world; gourmet foods, Redwood and
Myrtlewood Burl gift items, and souvenirs.
