LONG CELLAR
Built in 1870, the long cellar
pictured shows rows of oak cooperage which is
essential in producing fine Great Western Wines,
Champagnes, and Vermouths. Many of these casks
are close to 100 years old. This traditional quality
wine-making may be seen on a tour of the Pleasant
Valley Wine Co., Hammondsport, N. Y. Visiting hours
are Monday-Friday 8:30 TT a.m.; 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.
excluding legal holidays and the last two full weeks
in July.
