DINOSAUR - UTAH FIELD HOUSE OF
NATURAL HISTORY
Vernal, Utah
This authentic cement replica of Diplodocus (76
feet long) is like some of the skeletal material
recovered from Dinosaur Quarry, 19 miles east
of Vernal in Dinosaur National Monument. At
the Quarry may be seen a spectacular display
of fossil bones in the rock. The molds from
which this dinosaur skeleton was cast are a gift
from the Carnegie Museum, Pittsburgh, and the
Vernal Lions Club. Casting and erecting were
done by the Utah Field House of Natural History.
