EASTHAM WINDMILL
EASTHAM on CAPE COD
The mill was built sometime before 1700 at Ply-
mouth. The old mill was dismantled and shipped
across the bay, probably in 1788 and reassembled
near the end of the Cape to grind corn meal. In
1793 the mill was taken apart and hauled by oxen
to its present location. Here it was used to grind
meal for fishermen and farmers. Now fully re-
stored in Eastham Windmill Park, it is the oldest
workable grist mill on Cape Cod.
