Huge, Historic Oak Tree
HIGH SCHOOL CAMPUS
Nacogdoches, Texas
What is thought to be the oldest and largest oak tree in the
East Texas forest regions stands majestically on the Nacogdoches
High School Campus on Mound Street three blocks north of
the business district.
Tree experts say that this grand specimen is at least 250
years old. The photographer's measurements place it at eight
feet in diameter with a wing spread of one hundred fifty feet.
