HIS is the fungus which often attacks and blackens
or discolors paint. It is most frequently found on
the north and west or shady sides of buildings that
have been painted with pure white lead, because pure lead
begins to decompose or chalk in about six to nine months
after application; it loses its gloss, becomes comparatively
rough, and this roughened surface attracts and affords a
resting place for the Torula.
LUCAS PAINT is a pure linseed oil and perma-
nent pigment paint. It yields a smooth, hard, elastic and
glossy surface to which the Torula cannot cling.
It can be applied by any handy man, but the employ-
ment of a practical painter will insure best results. If this
Lucas Help does not please your fancy ask for other har-
monious Lucas combinations.
For Furniture-You will find Lucas Oil and Varnish
Stains practically perfect.
