A 430-bed regional referral and teaching hospital
and cornerstone of a medical complex that includes
the Hitchcock Clinic, Dartmouth Medical School,
the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Mental Health Center,
Norris Cotton Cancer Center and Mary Hitchcock
School of Nursing. Since 1893 it has provided
northern New England with health services and
facilities usually found only in large metropolitan
centers.
