This Moorhead Plant is the largest beet
sugar factory in the world under one con-
tinuous roof. Its power plant is capable of
generating enough electrical energy to supply
a city of 10,000 population, and its water
pumping station has a capacity of 5,000,000
gallons each 24-hour period. The storage
capacity of the sugar warehouse is 40,000,000
pounds of sugar. Needless to say, sugar beets
fast are becoming one of the leading crops of
the Red River Valley.
