One of the state's oldest institutions, founded
January 3, 1842, Howard College has been
located the last fifty-seven years in Birming-
ham. This air view shows the college city of 0
white nestled at the foot of the hills among
the green foliage, with Berry Field where
the Bulldogs romp in the background, and
Main Hall, fifty-seven years old, at the top
center, flanked by the gymnasium, boys' dor-
mitory, science hall, library, sorority lodges
an other recitation halls. It is under the
jurisdiction of the Alabama Baptist State Con-
vention and numbers among its graduates
some of the foremost citizens of the state and
country.
