One of the newest attractions in the central part of Florida is the hundered foot steel photographer's site erected by Nagel Groves. It can be seen for miles and is located on Nagel's Citrushland properties between Waverly and Cypress Gardens, on Highway 540. There are two observation platforms, one at the fifty foot level and the other at the hundred foot level. On the uppermost platform is a Bausch & Lomb viewing machine. Distant points can be picked out thru these binoculars. A complete panorama unfolds of the symmetrical grove plantings and multitude of lakes around this densely planted citrus section. Fourteen tons of steel were used in fabricating the tower, which rests on a base of 18 tons of reinforce concrete. Additional guy cables are provided to withstand a 180-mile wind loading. For those who would appreciate a bird's eye view of the citrus groves and lake section from a real close-up vintage point, the Observation Site, between Cypress Gardens and Bok Tower, offers an ideal opportunity. One of the Nagel Groves' Fruit Stands and Gift Shops is located here. Nagel Groves grow many varieties of citrus fruit. It is picked daily for their three retail outlets. Citrusland, Cypress Gardens triangle, and Nagel Groves Home Stand. Express fruit shipments are packed in their own packing house and shipped from November till July. Write for folder describing varieties, months when available and delivered prices of some of the finest fruit grown in Florida.
