  I actually took accordion lessons there in the 50s, one of my earliest memories. I still have the hand written musical scores that my teacher wrote for me - cheat sheets before the term was invented. Ultimately switched to the piano - but I was impressed years later that the accordion had a button for a diminished chord before I knew what the term meant.
