This building is erected on property origi-
ually owned by Chief Justice John Marshall,
one of Virginia's most distinguished statesmen.
The total cost was $750.000, and is a model of
modern school architecture. The building was
designed by Chas. K. Bryant, Architect, Rich-
mond, Va. The old John Marshall house stands
on the Southeast corner of the school campus,
and will be used as the Administration Building
for the City School Board. It has been repaired
and made fire-proof.
