The exhibits in the Hopi House comprise a
part of one of the most famous Indian Collections in
existence; the remainder may be seen in the Indian
Building at Albuquerque. The Hopi, the most
primitive of Indians in the country, devote several
weeks each year to religious ceremonies that their
ancestors practiced for centuries. The ceremonial
altars of this pagan people reproduced in the Hopi
House are of great interest.
