Built by the city of Denver on
the east boundary of Pike Na-
tional Forest and manned by the
U. S. Forest Service, the Squaw
Mountain Lookout serves a large
area of city and privately owned
land, as well as Government prop-
erty.
From this point a large acreage
of timber and land is constantly
under observation.
There is a penalty for starting
forest fires. Camp fires must be
put out with water, and care used
with burning tobacco, cigars, and
cigarettes.
