The Great Mormon Temple,
the most interesting structure
in Salt Lake City, stands upon
what is known as the east
side of the Temple Block,
upon the identical spot desig-
nated by President Young on
the day that the Pioneers ar-
rived in the valley of the
Great Salt Lake, July 24, 1847. The building
was completed at a cost of nearly four million
dollars and was dedicated April 16th, 1893, by
President Woodruff.
