As part of an extensive and varied program
for providing entertainment and comfort for
tourist visitors the cement-paved Boardwalk,
more popularly known as The Ocean Promenade,
is eventually to skirt the Daytona Beach Ocean
Speedway, on which all automobile speed rec-
ords have been established, a distance of
several miles. The Promenade is used for
staging outdoor dances and fashion shows and
as a reviewing stand for races and other events
held on the famous beach.
