The Lodge is built in the half-timbered
style, for which Chester is so famous. The
woodwork is of oak, and on the gables are
carved figures of William the Conqueror
and the seven Norman Earls of Chester,
with their arms and monograms below.
Our view shows one of the avenues of
magnificent Hollies and the monument of
the second Marquis of Westminster, who
presented the Park to the City in 1867.
