End of the Old Santa Fe Trail, this plaza
was a haven of rest to the weary traveler in
the early days.
The Monument, seen in the center, was
erected in memory of the heroes of the Indian
ż Pueblo Rebellion of 1680 and other battles,
and their names are inscribed thereon.
The Palace of the Governors is seen on the
north side, while a tablet marking the "End
of the Santa Fe Trail" is on the south.
The "Rebel" Monument may be seen in the
center.
