Additional Details:
The Seagram distillery, largest and most modern in Kentucky, is known throughout the world for its highly developed methods of Quality Control. Here 27,000 proof gallons of whiskey and spirits are produced daily from 5,000 bushels of grain, which also yield approximately 45 tons of feed by-products. The whiskeys used in creating Seagram's famous blends are aged in eight temperature-controlled warehouses with a combined capacity of more than 45,000 barrels, holding 150 individual types of distillates. Near historic Churchill Downs, scene of the great Kentucky Derby, and in the center of the largest whiskey-producing area in the United States, the Seagram plant is a focal attraction to Louisville visitors and a cause for pride to Louisville residents.
