Additional Details:
The illustration shows an Interstate 'Bull Dog 40' after the completion of a 3500-mile endurance trip from Muncie to San Francisco, Cal., which was run under extraordinarily severe road conditions, and which taxed the car very severely, as the car was driven under high speed and without regard to proper motor usage. The car was taken from stock and started off without any special fittings or equipment. No mishaps were encountered throughout the entire trip, and the record of this car is only an example of all Inter-State Models. This car was driven by C.L. Welch, by a roundabout course, through Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin to Menominee, thence to Minnesota, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, Nevada and California.
