Additional Details:
Walls 2 feet high with moat and outworks. Bastions on the corners, heavy casemates, dangerous and subterranean passages. Established 1756, a curious relic of the Spanish occupancy of Florida. Built of coquina from Anastasia Island, a substance of shelly conglomerate of coral origin, easily quarried, but becomes of extreme hardness on long exposure to air.
