31003 OCMULGEE NATIONAL MONUMENT - Macon, Georgia VISITOR'S CENTER & MUSEUM This building is one of the few remaining examples of art-deco archi- tecture. Construction of the museum was begun during the archaeological ex- cavations of the 1930's, was interrupted by World War II and the building was opened to the public in 1952.
