1014 BROOKLYN BRIDGE AND SKYLINE
NEW YORK CITY
When it was constructed in 1883, predictions
were made that the Brooklyn Bridge, which was
the first great suspension bridge in the world, would
fall in the river, but the bridge which is over
one mile long, incl. approaches is still carrying
traffic between Brooklyn and Manhattan. At the
right may be seen Manhattan's famous Municipal
Building, further south the Woolworth, Singer and
Equitable skyscrapers.
