"What is needed and what is happening
on the Navajo Nation right now is a
discussion, and the question that Diné
bí' íína' and Sheep Is Life poses, is a
very important question. 'What is the
value of what we had in the past?
What is the value of the sheep culture
itself, and how is that culture going to
be translated into the future to our
children?""
Terrell Piechowski is a school counselor and
activist for Navajo issues and independence. As
a Diné bi' íína' volunteer, he supports sheep
culture as an important traditional path.
