Grace of God, King of England, Scotland, France
and Ireland, Defender of the Faith: To the
Burgesses of the Borough of Warwick and
Successors, Greeting (cheers). Know ye (hush!
hush! stop shouting) by these presents we grant
for ourselves, our heirs and successors. that
the said inhabitants for the time being and here-
after may be feoffed and made one Body and
Corporation of itself for ever, by the name of
the Burgesses of the Town of Warwick, in the
County of Warwickshire."
